Enterprising 15-year-old Robbie Almond who attends The Vale Academy in Brigg is eager to raise £4,000 so that can travel with Camps International Expedition and create clean water facilities in remote villages in Borneo. Although this trip is not until 2014 he is working around his school commitments and is willing to consider any jobs so that he can raise enough money from car washing to dog walking and gardening.
Robbie has impressed Managing Partner, Kevin Turner of TurnerWarran Accountants and Business Advisers. “The Turner family has always lived in the Brigg area, and when Robbie explained what he was trying to achieve and asked if there was anything he could do at the offices, we were only too happy to help. Robbie will be washing staff vehicles at offices on Bridge Street in Brigg and I know he will do a fantastic job of them”. (Also published in Scunthorpe Telegraph).
