Congratulations To Matthew Porterss On His ACCA Final Examination Success!!

Celebrations were the order of the day in August for Matthew Portess of TurnerWarran accountants of Brigg and Scunthorpe.

Having now passed his ACCA final exam, Matthew is also hoping in the near future, to consolidate this through an internal promotion, thus committing his long term future to the Practice.

Kevin Turner, Managing partner, commented that it is encouraging to see the very hard work put in by both the students and the firm coming together to guarantee the future of the firm and to uphold the quality of service going forward. TurnerWarran are accredited as a Platinum Employer under the ACCA approved trainee development scheme. Matthew Portess ,who is the 2nd trainee to qualify with the firm in the last 6 months, said “I am thrilled to have passed my final accounting exam and at becoming a member of the ACCA. It has sometimes been a challenging journey along the long road to qualification, but I always remained focussed on the finishing line throughout. My motivation during studying was the knowledge that it would enable me to further assist businesses and clients through the experience and expertise I have gained. This is the part of the job that I really enjoy. I would like to thank Turner Warran and in particular Kevin, for the help and support I have received as I would not have achieved my ACCA accreditation without it and I look forward to a new and exciting role in my accountancy career at TurnerWarran.”

Whilst it may be the end of the road study wise for Matthew, it is only the beginning for other trainees at the firm as it continues it’s commitment to helping local youngsters achieve their full potential. Ben Walker of Laceby, who recently passed his AAT finals, now starts on the study path towards his ACCA qualification and Sophie Dent has recently commenced her accountancy training with the AAT, with high hopes to progress further. Nothing stands still at Turnerwarran, with its dedicated Tax Investigations arm, TurnerWarran Henson , launched only in 2010, having grown rapidly in this short space of time, able to provide specialist tax dispute services to businesses and individuals both locally and Nationally.

With recent and ongoing recruitment TurnerWarran is growing not only in stature but in expertise to serve the needs of the community and beyond.
